Community Participation

This short musical production will also rely upon the participation and generosity of our communities and social circles of friends and families who will contribute financial support, gifts of building supplies, loans of props or equipment, or perform in costumes or with puppets. We have the graphic workstations, we have the warehouse space to build and shoot in, we have the wonderful community, and we have the will to do this. We have it all and we are going to make something amazing but this project simply cannot succeed without your assistance.

If you have any materials or efforts you'd like to contribute please contact me or feel free to drop in and drop items off. Naturally we're open to suggestions, ideas, schemes, etc.

Please review the Resources section to see if you can help with any of the costumes, puppets, props, sets or anything else you think might help the production.

Videographer Needed In Sweden

We're looking for a videographer to capture a two-week recording session of American artist Justin Winokur, a Swedish Top 20 sensation, on a zero-dollar budget, as he records his second album.

Knowledge of English is necessary. You must be available to record for at least five days of the recording sessions from December 5-18, 2005. You provide your recording gear, time, energy and your own ticket out to Sweden. We'll provide room, board and videotape. High-quality digital NTSC, high definition, or 30fps equipment is preferred; high-quality audio is not necessary but would be nice.

You will be provided with full credit and copies of the work that will look terrific on your demo reel or in your portfolio. Ideally we'd like to review your demo reel. If you are a student or struggling artist we'd like to be convinced of your enthusiasm, creativity, skills, and resources.

The concept (open to collaborative modification):
We want to shoot as much of the recording session as possible -- the more raw material we have to edit with the better. The camera will be modified for every take. You may want to position it for a different angle, height, distance, composition, askew tilt, focus, foreground elements, background elements, tripod, handheld, etc.

Naturally we will require master wide shots, but the more interesting shots and happy accidents will bring your personal videography skills into play. Every take on every recording should be unique. We are open to collaboration if you feel enthusiastic enough to set up lighting and/or decorations into the studio, as long as it doesn't slow down the recording sessions.

Grant Writer / Producer / Fundraiser

Wicked Sunshine seeks a Grant Writer / Producer / Fundraiser to find money for an activist animated music video, a short live-action musical, a live-action music video, and a DVD compilation. You'll receive a percentage of the funds you raise rather than a salary. Your efforts determine the commission you make in this part-time or full-time position, so your hours are up to you. We will also reach lists, tribes, friends, associates, and related places to start raising funds and awareness. You will be expected to persistently apply to every possible funding grant, film festival, activist source, etc. Ideally we'd like someone experienced but if you are a student or struggling artist we'd like to be convinced of your enthusiasm, creativity, skills, and resourcefulness.

Additionally, if you feel creative and willing, you may help with production (i.e. circus set building/designing, costume making, puppet design, equipment wrangling, and miscellaneous production assistance).
