If we do not change direction we may end up where we are headed.

- Tatanka Lotanka (Sitting Bull)

You must be the change you wish to see in the world.
- Mahatma Gandhi

Wage Peace is about the forces of collective good verses the forces of elite exploitation.

From the abundance of mass media I've selectively compiled these Wage Peace pages to present the particularily important peace pieces to share with the world. Being so sheltered it's not always easy to face the ugly realities that result in our modern comfort but sometimes the shock is easier to handle with some humour, and though you won't cry from laughter perhaps you'll be moved enough to help do something about the state of our world.

Though some are my own designs most of these collected Wage Peace images may be copyrighted and without permission I use these images in efforts to advance understanding of political, democratic, environmental, human rights, and social justice issues. I believe his constitutes a 'fair use' of any such copyrighted materials as provided for in section 107 of the US copyright law.

I'm simply trying to bring a little more Sunshine to the wicked world.

Wage Peace

Correcting oneself is correcting the whole world.
The sun is simply bright. It does not correct anyone.
Because it shines, the whole world is full of light.
Transforming yourself is a means of giving light to the whole world.
- Ramana Maharshi

= Urgent Rant =

There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.
- William Shakespeare, Hamlet

In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.
- George Orwell

Don't read Wage Peace if you want the Orwellian official truth, rather consider blindly believing the corporatocracy endorsing Fox "News" media and listen to imbeded functionaries, not journalists. The state of the world is important to me, as it should be to you - especially if you care about the future we create for the children of today and their children of tomorrow. This site holds my subjective opinions and what I believe to be truths and facts (though I am open to alternatives to black and white). I am doing the best I can at making this site as accurate as possible while also emotionally compelling, as detrimental facts (about the evils of war, corpratism, against the environment, etc.) alone don't seem to be enough to save the planet. I hope to open a forum eventually and in the meantime I welcome feedback, criticism and information. I am not a reporter, radical activist, lawyer, or investigator. I am simply a concerned member of Earth.

The blind are in power and have declared it a crime to see colors.

A very dangerous assumtion: If the enemy is evil then your side must be good.

There are three steps to the truth: first ridiculing, then denial and finally acceptance.
- Arthur Schopenhauer

The United States government is an imperialist terrorist regime but they call their tactics freedom fighting. Unfortunately the American public is brainwashed by the monopolized self-serving corporate media and the corporate super powers that finance it.

The Bush Administration has lied continually. Americans must stop believing their lies:
    • Election 2000.   (Election 2004? Was there a difference?)
    • Iraq is involved with 9-11.   (But Bush knew.)
    • Iraq has weapons of mass destruction.
    • Iraq needed democracy.   (Or a puppet regime.)
    • If the US pulls out Iraq will fall into chaos.   (More chaotic than war?)
    • Foreign policy.   (Policy or hegemony?)
    • Environment policy.   (Is there even one?)

The Bush Administration denies that the next targets are Iran, Syria, the 'Stans' of Asia, Venezuela, and Columbia. Perhaps even the oil in Nigeria. Let's wait and see or do something about it. Marines are not on a feminist mission to free women of their burkhas by bombing their children.

The International Monetary Fund, The World Bank, and The World Trade Organization are non-democratic American-based greedy evil entities that are running the world and running away with your rights. This must stop.

American way of life is not sustainable because it does not acknowledge that there is a world beyond America.

To love
To be loved
To never forget your own insignificance
To never get used to the unspeakable violence and the vulgar disparity of life around you
To seek joy in the saddest places
To pursue beauty to its lair
To never simplify what is complicated, or complicate what is simple
To respect strength, never power
Above all to watch, to try, and understand
To never look away, and never, never to forget

Our world, so we see and hear on all sides, is drowning in materialism, commercialism, consumerism. But the problem is not really there. What we ordinarily speak of as materialism is a result, not a cause. The root of materialism is a poverty of ideas about the inner and outer world. Less and less does our contemporary culture have, or even seek, commerce with great ideas, and it is that lack that is weakening the human spirit. This is the essence of materialism. Materialism is a disease of the mind starved for ideas.
