Wage Peace is about the forces of collective good verses the forces of elite exploitation.

From the abundance of mass media I've selectively compiled these Wage Peace pages to present the particularily important peace pieces to share with the world. Being so sheltered it's not always easy to face the ugly realities that result in our modern comfort but sometimes the shock is easier to handle with some humour, and though you won't cry from laughter perhaps you'll be moved enough to help do something about the state of our world.

Though some are my own designs most of these collected Wage Peace images may be copyrighted and without permission I use these images in efforts to advance understanding of political, democratic, environmental, human rights, and social justice issues. I believe his constitutes a 'fair use' of any such copyrighted materials as provided for in section 107 of the US copyright law.

I'm simply trying to bring a little more Sunshine to the wicked world.

Manufacturing Consent: Noam Chomsky and the Media (1992)
"A primer in intellectual self-defense" about the noted American linguist/political dissident and his warning about corporate media's role in modern propaganda. Very heavy, very important, very scary.

The Truth And Lies Of 9-11 (November 2001)
A shocking video of a paper trail case presented well by Mike Ruppert. His case is good though there is some truth in what Conspiracy Planet states - Mike Ruppert refuses to focus on the 'physical evidence' portion of the 9-11 sceptics' that is "typically used to confuse simple facts" because that approach (in his own words), "will never penetrate the consciousness of the American people in a way that will bring about change. What will penetrate, from my experience, is taking non-scientific reports that most people instantly accept as credible, whether news reports or government statements or documents, and merely showing that they are lies. That opens the wedge, and removes any reliance upon expert or scientific testimony which is typically used to confuse simple facts." The strength of Mike Ruppert's case is that assuming the documents are from authentic sources, then he makes a case with little room for debate as happens in some of the following analysis' when non-engineer and non-expert opinion pursue speculative discourse about a few photos of crash sites and limited video (there are doubtless hundreds more photographs with better resolution to debate over). The importance of The Truth And Lies Of 9-11 is that it challenges the methods and motives that brought about the events on 9-11. The case becomes crystal clear along side historical accounts of hegemony and abuse the US Government leads for the global corporate interests. Some negative accounts about Mike Ruppert and his research seemed less than objective, and I didn't feel like reading through a bunch of rants. Ultimately, it is proven beyond Mike Ruppert's case that the Bush administration is undeniably greedy at the expense of all life on Earth. Even if only one percent of The Truth And Lies Of 9-11 or Michael Moore's Farhenheit 9-11 is true then the White House needs an overhaul.

Fahrenheit 9/11 (2004)

= Important News + Anti-Media =

One of the most potent [American journalist] assumptions is that the world should be seen in terms of its usefulness to the West, not humanity. [Let alone life on Earth.] ... Journalists [are making the] distinction between people who matter and people who don't matter. ... The people who died in the Twin Towers in that terrible crime mattered. The people who were bombed to death in dusty villages in Afghanistan didn't matter, even though it now seems that their numbers were greater. The people who will die in Iraq don't matter. Iraq has been successfully demonized as if everybody who lives there is Saddam Hussein. ... It's only when journalists understand the role they play in this propaganda, it's only when they realize they can't be both independent, honest journalists and agents of power, that things will begin to change.
- John Pilger, interview with The Progressive magazine

More interesting statistics from the movie and book Manufacturing Consent: Noam Chomsky And The Media (1992):
In North America there are: 7 major movie studios and more than 1,800 daily newspapers, 11,000 magazines, 11,000 radio stations, 2,000 TV stations, 2,500 book publishers. 23 corporations own and control over 50% of the business in each medium. In some cases they have a virtual monopoly.

Brainwash anyone?
Why should Americans be any less succeptable to propaganda than Russians with Pravda?
Governments can lie. History repeats. Blind faith in pure power is purely naive.

Journalist

"Corporate journalism in the United States preaches "objectivity" and scorns those who take the side of the dispossessed and disenfranchised. But the mainstream media in Britain makes a few allowances. John Pilger, the Australian-born, London-based journalist and filmmaker, is one. 'The censorship is such on television in the U.S. that films like mine don't stand a chance.' " Including PBS.
